Summer Music Lessons & Audition Prep - FAQs
When does the summer session run? Our summer private lesson session runs from June 15 through August 7.
How do summer private lessons work? Summer private lessons are structured as four 45-minute, in-person lessons, which may be scheduled anytime during the summer session. This format allows for fewer trips to the studio while still supporting meaningful musical growth. Lessons are flexible and may be spaced out or scheduled closer together to fit your family’s summer plans.
Why are summer lessons longer? Longer lessons allow students to: settle in and warm up without feeling rushed, go deeper into technique, repertoire, and musical skills, and make strong progress with fewer weekly commitments. This format works especially well during the summer months.
How much does summer tuition cost? Summer private lessons are offered at a reduced rate of $125 per month, billed in June and July. This covers the full summer lesson package.
Is summer enrollment required for current students? Summer enrollment is the default continuation for private lesson students. Families who wish to take a full summer break may opt out by the posted deadline (May 1). If we do not hear from you by that date, your student will remain enrolled and billed at the summer rate.
Can I choose my lesson days and times? Yes. Scheduling is extremely flexible. Families receive a scheduling link and may choose from any available lesson times their teacher offers throughout the summer. Lessons may be scheduled and rescheduled up to 24 hours in advance.
Can we skip weeks or double up lessons? Absolutely. Summer scheduling allows families to: skip weeks due to travel or camps, schedule lessons closer together, and adjust timing as needed All lessons must be completed by August 7.
Who will my teacher be? Students may continue with their current teacher whenever possible. Teacher availability may vary during the summer due to travel or performance schedules. Scheduling links always reflect the most current availability.
What happens if we miss a lesson? There are no make-up lessons for missed lessons or lessons canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice. Families are encouraged to use the flexible scheduling system to avoid missed lessons.
Are refunds available if plans change? Summer tuition and registration fees are non-refundable.
Do continuing summer students get any benefits for fall? Yes. Students who remain enrolled through the summer or start lessons in the summer receive priority access to August scheduling for the upcoming academic year before scheduling opens to new or returning students.
Are there any summer performance opportunities? Summer private students may be invited to participate in a casual outdoor summer showcase, designed to celebrate progress in a relaxed, low-pressure setting. Participation is optional.
Are there any additional summer perks? Private students enrolled during the summer may also receive a special bonus toward our Rock Band Camp. Details will be shared separately.
Are there any additional fees? There is no registration fee for returning academic-year students. New students are subject to a one-time $30 summer registration fee. Music books needed are at the discretion.
Who should I contact with questions or special circumstances? If you have questions about summer scheduling or billing, please contact the studio directly.
Summer Camps - FAQs
What ages are your summer camps for? We have camps and productions for students ages 3-21. Each camp is designed for a specific age range, which is listed in the camp description. We recommend enrolling based on your child’s age at the time of camp to ensure the best experience for everyone.
How do I enroll in a summer camp? Enrollment is completed online through our website. Camps are filled on a first-come, first-served basis, and space is limited.
Do you offer discounts for summer camps? Yes. We host an annual Summer Camp Sale on March 15th, during which camps may be offered at up to 40% off.
Do you offer payment plans? Payment plans may be arranged for summer camp tuition totals over $300. If you need a payment arrangement, please contact the studio directly. Payment plans are not available for enrollments received during the March 15th Summer Camp Sale.

Do you provide before- or after-camp care? We do not offer regular before- or after-camp care. If you have a specific situation, please contact the studio and we will do our best to explore options on a case-by-case basis. An exception is made for students enrolled in both a morning and afternoon camp during the same week.
My child is enrolled in both a morning and afternoon camp. Should I pick them up between camps? If your child is enrolled in both a morning and afternoon half-day camp during the same week, they may remain at the studio for the hour between camps at no additional cost. Please be sure to pack a lunch, snacks, and a quiet activity if needed.
Do you provide snacks or lunch? Lanti Performing Arts does not provide food for campers. Please pack a healthy snack and/or lunch as needed. We are a nut-free facility.
What if my child needs to miss a day of camp? If your child will be absent, please notify us at 704-269-8240 or office@lantiperformingarts.com so we can plan accordingly. There are no refunds, credits, or discounts for missed camp days.
What happens if Lanti needs to cancel a camp? In the unlikely event that Lanti Performing Arts must cancel a summer camp, 100% of tuition paid will be refunded.
Are there camp performances or showcases? Yes. Many of our camps conclude with an informal parent showcase on the final day of camp, typically during the last 30 minutes on Friday. These showcases are designed to be low-pressure and celebratory, with an emphasis on the learning process rather than a polished performance. Due to space limitations, we are typically able to accommodate two to three guests per camper. Summer production camps include a full performance, and details will be shared with enrolled families.
Can parents visit during camp? Parents are welcome to observe from the lobby or designated viewing windows (enter through Suite E). For safety and flow, we ask that parents do not enter the camp classroom during sessions. Families who are new to Lanti are welcome to stop by for a brief tour on the Monday of their camp week.
How do I enroll in the Summer Apprentice Program? Students ages 13 and up may apply to serve as a Summer Camp Apprentice. To learn more and apply, please click the link provided on our website.
Who should I contact with questions? If you have questions before or during camp, please contact us at office@lantiperformingarts.com or 704-269-8240. We’re always happy to help.
Summer Stage Productions - FAQs
What is Summer Stage?
Summer Stage Productions are immersive, rehearsal-based musical theatre programs that follow a professional production process. Students train in acting, vocal performance, movement, and ensemble work while preparing a complete theatrical production. Rehearsals take place Monday through Friday from 9:00am–3:00pm for either one-week or two-week programs, with performances held on the Saturday following the rehearsal period.
How is Summer Stage different from half-day summer camps?
Summer Stage is a full-day, production-focused musical theatre experience with a higher level of training and time commitment. Unlike half-day camps, Summer Stage centers on rehearsing and performing a complete show.
Does my child need prior musical theatre experience?
Experience requirements vary by production. Some Summer Stage programs are open to first-time performers, while others recommend or require prior experience. Specific details are listed on each production page.
How do auditions and casting work?
Audition procedures depend on the production. One-week junior productions are first come, first served for registration, with virtual auditions used for casting only. Two-week full-length productions require an audition to be cast in the show. Audition details and timelines are shared prior to the start of each program.
If my child registers, are they guaranteed a role?
All registered performers in one-week productions are guaranteed participation and will be cast through the audition process. For two-week productions, casting is determined through auditions based on the needs of the show.
Is Summer Stage a good fit for students trying theatre for the first time?
Yes. Many students use Summer Stage as their first full musical theatre production experience. Programs are designed to support growth while maintaining clear expectations and professional rehearsal standards.
What is the time commitment like?
Summer Stage follows a structured, full-day rehearsal schedule. Because productions are collaborative, students are expected to attend all scheduled rehearsals and performances.
Are scripts and costumes included?
Scripts and licensed production materials are included. Costume requirements vary by production, and performers are typically asked to provide basic items such as shoes, undergarments, or simple base pieces. Specific details are communicated in advance.
When do tickets go on sale?
Tickets for all Summer Stage productions go on sale on or before June 1st. Performance schedules and ticketing details are shared once each production timeline is finalized.
What happens if a production fills before we register?
Summer Stage Productions often fill quickly. Once capacity is reached, a waitlist begins. Waitlisted students may be offered a spot if one becomes available, but placement is not guaranteed.
Who should I contact with questions? If you have questions before or during camp, please contact us at office@lantiperformingarts.com or 704-269-8240. We’re always happy to help.
