Auditions & Casting

Audition procedures vary by production and are outlined clearly on each show’s registration page. Due to high demand, many Summer Stage productions fill quickly.

  • 1-Week Productions: Registration for 1-week productions is first come, first served, and these shows often fill very quickly. Once a production reaches capacity, a waitlist will begin. Students who secure a spot will submit a virtual audition for casting purposes only. Auditions determine roles and ensemble placement, not acceptance into the production.
Early registration is strongly encouraged, as waitlists are common.

  • 2-Week Productions: Full-length Summer Stage productions require an audition to be cast in the show. Registration opens alongside audition information, and performers must complete the audition process to be considered for participation. Casting decisions are based on experience level, vocal range, age, and the needs of the production.

Virtual audition instructions, deadlines, and submission details will be shared via email prior to the start of each program.
