Academic/Year-Round Policies & Procedures
(2025-2026)
By enrolling, parents/guardians and adult students acknowledge that they have read, understand, and agree to the following policies.
Program Structure (Year-Round vs. Seasonal): Lanti Performing Arts operates on a mixed program model. Private lessons operate year-round, academic-year classes and productions run September through May, and summer programming consists of summer private lesson packages, summer camps, and Summer Stage productions. Policies, billing, and attendance expectations vary by program type as outlined below.
Enrollment & Getting Started: Enrollment is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Lesson times cannot be held or reserved. Students may not begin lessons, classes, or productions until Lanti Performing Arts has received a completed registration form, the applicable non-refundable enrollment or registration fee, any required performance or activity fee, and the appropriate tuition payment. Lanti Performing Arts offers open enrollment for private lessons and may accept students mid-semester for classes or productions subject to availability and program requirements.
Tuition & Billing: Lanti Performing Arts operates on a year-round private lesson model. Tuition is billed monthly on the 15th via automatic bank draft or credit card (a 3% convenience fee applies to credit card payments). School-year private lesson tuition runs September through May and is calculated based on the total number of instructional weeks in the academic year, not the number of classes in any individual month. Holidays and scheduled studio breaks are factored into tuition, so monthly payments remain consistent regardless of attendance or calendar variations. Tuition is not prorated for missed lessons or classes. Private lessons continue through the summer months at a reduced tuition rate, billed on June 15 and July 15. Classes, productions, camps, and seasonal programs follow separate tuition structures.
Annual Enrollment Fee: A $65 non-refundable annual enrollment fee is due per student for participation in private lessons, academic-year classes, and productions. Students enrolled during the academic year are not charged a separate summer registration fee.
Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF): In the event of a returned ACH or check payment, Lanti Performing Arts may reprocess the payment within five (5) business days. Each returned transaction will incur a $25 NSF fee, charged separately.
Discounts: A 10% family discount applies to additional family members enrolled in private lessons only and is applied to the lowest-priced tuition. Discounts do not apply to classes, productions, camps, or seasonal/session-based programs.
Refunds & Studio Credit: All tuition, enrollment fees, registration fees, and performance-related fees are non-refundable. Families who prepay for a full academic-year program and withdraw early may request studio credit toward another Lanti Performing Arts program, subject to approval. Studio credits are non-transferable, have no cash value, and may not be shared between family members.
Arrival & Departure: Students are expected to arrive on time. Late arrivals will result in a shortened lesson, class, or rehearsal without refund or adjustment. Teachers meet students at the scheduled start time in the lobby, classroom door, or designated location. Teachers do not supervise students before or after scheduled program times.
Schedule Changes: Private lesson students may request one (1) permanent schedule change per academic year at no charge. Additional changes are subject to a $15 administrative fee. All schedule change requests must be submitted via the Make-A-Change Form and are subject to availability. Schedule changes are not guaranteed for classes, productions, camps, or seasonal programs.
Communication Policy: Official studio communication occurs via email and designated studio platforms. Text messaging is reserved for urgent or time-sensitive matters only. Teachers and staff may not respond immediately outside of teaching or business hours. Parents should not raise concerns during lesson, class, or rehearsal time; meetings may be scheduled upon request.
Attendance, Absences & Make-Ups (Private Lessons): Tuition reserves a student’s scheduled lesson time. Students are eligible for two (2) make-up lessons per academic year with at least 24 hours’ notice via email or phone (call/text). Late cancellations and no-shows are not eligible for make-ups and no exceptions will be made. Make-up lessons are scheduled in group format at the end of the academic year. Missed make-ups are forfeited. Summer private lessons follow summer session rules and are not eligible for additional make-ups beyond those included in the summer package.
Attendance Expectations (Classes, Productions & Camps): Consistent attendance is required for academic-year classes, productions, camps, and Summer Stage programs. Absences may impact placement, casting, staging, or continued participation. Tuition and fees are not adjusted for missed classes, rehearsals, or camp days.
Early Withdrawal (Private Lessons): Enrollment in private lessons is continuous year-round unless proper notice is given. A 30-day written notice from the 15th of the month is required and must be submitted via the Make-A-Change Form. Tuition continues to process during the notice period. Withdrawal notice applies to future billing cycles and does not override previously billed or contracted summer programs.
Withdrawal from Classes, Productions & Camps: Academic-year classes, productions, camps, and seasonal programs operate on fixed sessions. Withdrawal policies, refunds, and credits for these programs are governed by the specific program agreement and are not subject to private lesson withdrawal terms.
Parent Observation & Participation: Parents may observe private lessons unless otherwise requested by the instructor. Repeated interruptions, coaching, or interference may result in observation restrictions. Classes, productions, camps, and rehearsals are closed to observation unless otherwise specified.
Student Conduct: Students are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful, safe, and appropriate manner at all times. Disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate behavior may result in removal from a lesson, class, rehearsal, or program without refund. Repeated conduct issues may result in dismissal at the sole discretion of Lanti Performing Arts.
Parent Conduct & Studio Culture: Lanti Performing Arts is committed to maintaining a respectful and supportive community. Harassment, disrespectful communication, or interference with staff decisions will not be tolerated. Violations may result in dismissal from the program without refund.
Productions & Performances: Casting decisions are final and based on educational, artistic, and ensemble considerations. Attendance at rehearsals and performances is mandatory unless otherwise stated. Excessive absences may result in role reassignment or removal from the production. Performance and production fees are non-refundable.
Teacher Substitutions: Lanti Performing Arts reserves the right to provide a qualified substitute teacher when necessary. If a substitute cannot be arranged, missed lessons or classes will be addressed at the studio’s discretion.
Studio & School-Site Closings: Lanti Performing Arts does not follow a single school district calendar. Families are responsible for reviewing the studio calendar for scheduled closures. At school-site locations, Lanti Performing Arts is not responsible for school-initiated closures, cancellations, or schedule changes.
Weather Closures: Weather-related closures will be communicated via the studio website, social media, and voicemail. Make-ups may be offered virtually or in group format at the studio’s discretion.
Health & Illness: Students who are ill, have a fever, or are experiencing contagious symptoms should not attend lessons, classes, rehearsals, camps, or performances. Missed participation due to illness follows the applicable program’s attendance and make-up policy.
Personal Property: Students are responsible for their own instruments, materials, costumes, and personal belongings. Lanti Performing Arts is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.
Program Adjustments: Lanti Performing Arts reserves the right to modify schedules, instructors, curriculum, class formats, tuition structures, program offerings, or seasonal availability as necessary. Continued enrollment constitutes acceptance of updated policies.
Summer Session Policies & Procedures (2026)
These Summer Session Policies & Procedures apply to all summer private lesson packages, summer camps, and Summer Stage productions running from June 15 through August 7 and supersede academic-year policies for all summer programs.
Summer Session Dates: Private lessons, summer camps, and Summer Stage productions run from June 15 through August 7. All programs are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to availability or audition, where applicable.
Registration Fee: There is no registration fee for students enrolled in the previous music or theatre season at Lanti Performing Arts. A $30 one-time registration fee applies to students not enrolled in the previous season and is charged once per student, regardless of the number of camps, lessons, or programs taken during the summer.
Summer Tuition & Payments: Summer tuition is processed as a one-time payment via credit card (3% convenience fee) or auto bank draft. All tuition and applicable fees are due in full at the time of registration and are non-refundable. If total summer tuition exceeds $300, families may contact the studio to inquire about a payment arrangement. Payment arrangements are not available for the March 15 promotion, and the March 15 discount may not be combined with any other offer. If a program is canceled due to low enrollment, payments will be fully refunded or transferred.
Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF): If an auto-draft payment is returned for non-sufficient funds, Lanti Performing Arts may reattempt the transaction within five (5) business days. A $25 NSF fee will be charged for each returned payment.
Refunds & Credits: There are no refunds or credits for summer private lessons, camps, or Summer Stage productions. Tuition is not prorated or refunded due to illness, vacations, absences, or schedule conflicts.
Minimum Enrollment: If a program does not meet minimum enrollment, families will be notified and may receive a full refund or transfer to another available program within three (3) days, at the applicable sale price if relevant.
Transfers – Private Lessons: Unused lesson times cannot be carried into the academic year and are not transferable to other family members.
Transfers – Summer Camps: Before May 1, campers may transfer to another camp pending availability. Previous discounts do not apply, and any tuition difference must be paid at the time of transfer. A $25 transfer fee applies. After May 1, summer camp tuition is non-transferable and may not be transferred to another student or family member.
Attendance & Make-Up Policy – Private Lessons: There are no make-up lessons during the summer session. Schedule changes must be submitted at least 24 hours in advance. Missed lessons or late cancellations result in forfeiture. All lessons must be completed by the final day of the summer session.
Attendance & Make-Up Policy – Summer Camps: Families should notify the studio if a camper will miss a day. There are no make-ups, prorates, or refunds for missed camp days.
Illness Policy: For the health and safety of all students and staff, participants should not attend programs if they are ill, have a fever, or are experiencing contagious symptoms.
Arrival & Departure: Students are expected to arrive on time. Late arrival shortens the scheduled lesson or activity accordingly. Teachers meet students at the scheduled start time. Detailed arrival and dismissal information will be provided prior to program start. Teachers do not supervise students outside scheduled program times.
Drop-Off & Pick-Up Responsibility: Parents and guardians are responsible for timely drop-off and pick-up. Supervision is provided only during scheduled program times.
Student Conduct: Students are expected to follow instructor guidance and studio expectations at all times. Disruptive or unsafe behavior may result in dismissal from the program without refund.
Personal Belongings: Lanti Performing Arts is not responsible for lost or damaged personal items. Please label belongings and avoid bringing valuables.
Teacher Substitutions: Lanti Performing Arts reserves the right to provide a qualified substitute teacher when necessary. If a substitute cannot be arranged, missed classes may be made up.
Photo & Media Release: Photographs and videos taken during classes, rehearsals, and events may be used for promotional purposes unless a written opt-out request is submitted at registration.
Medical Authorization: Unless written notice is provided, permission is granted for Lanti Performing Arts to seek medical treatment if a parent or guardian cannot be reached. Medical conditions or restrictions must be disclosed in writing prior to participation.
Release of Liability: Parents, guardians, and adult students agree to release and hold harmless Lanti Performing Arts and its affiliates from claims related to illness, injury, or damages arising from participation.
Closings & Weather: Weather-related closures will be communicated via the website, social media, and voicemail. Make-ups may be offered virtually or in group format at the studio’s discretion. At school-site locations, Lanti Performing Arts is not responsible for school-initiated closures.
Virtual Instruction: If in-person instruction is suspended, lessons may continue virtually. Recording is prohibited. Login credentials are confidential. Lanti Performing Arts is not responsible for internet disruptions, power outages, or third-party platform issues.
Summer Stage Production Policies: Summer Stage productions operate in a focused, professional rehearsal and performance environment. Audition procedures vary by production and are outlined on each show’s registration page. Casting decisions are final and based on audition materials, experience, age, vocal range, and production needs. Consistent attendance is required. Scripts and licensed materials are included. Costume requirements vary and will be outlined in the Production Handbook. Junior Summer Stage programs may operate with a waitlist. Disruptive behavior may result in dismissal without refund.
Final Note: By enrolling in any summer program at Lanti Performing Arts, families acknowledge and agree to all policies outlined above.
