No matter your child's need - Lanti Performing Arts will stand alongside you to offer love and support, and of course lots of fun! We'll work with your child to create an individualized game plan by combining private and/or group classes. What is music therapy?
Music Therapy is the use of music as a therapeutic tool to rebuild, maintain, and improve mental, physical, and emotional health. The nonverbal, creative, and effective nature of music facilitates contact, learning, self-expression, communication, and growth.

Private Music Lessons
This class is a fantastic introduction for any child who loves to sing and make music! In a positive and encouraging environment, students will discover age-appropriate tips and tricks to explore their voices with complete freedom. From vocal exercises and breathing tips to note reading and lots of songs – we’ll use games and play-based activities to help your child gain confidence and self-awareness both on and off the stage.
Adaptive Music Lessons
Our teachers will work with your child to evaluate, create, and carry out an individualized plan. Together we will use music exploration as an avenue to reach specific goals such as communication skills, social skills, coping skills, and emotional expression. Classes will be structured around your child’s needs and interests.

What are some goals in MT?
Goals vary per student and are determined together with the therapist, parent, and student. Here are a few examples: Increased sensory, social and/or cognitive stimulation; Increased physical movement; Increased verbal and nonverbal communication
My child has a 504 or an IEP plan. How can Music Therapy benefit them?
Music Therapy can benefit a wide variety of learning difficulties including academic subjects, social, behavioral, or emotional needs.
My child has a hearing impairment. Will he/she still benefit from MT?
Yes! Music and rhythms can be felt through touch or vibrations from a variety of instruments, especially drums.
Are your classes inclusive?
Yes, we encourage inclusion in all our classes. Our desire is to not only support our students with specials needs, but to build awareness, sensitivity, and friendship for all students regardless of their abilities.
Does my child need to be musical in order to benefit from MT?
Not at all. Your child can benefit from MT regardless of their musical background.
Will my child learn to play an instrument in MT?
MT does include instrument exploration but it is different from teaching instruments. Learning the basics of an instrument can be a great goal for some students, especially for increasing attention span, growing self-esteem, and more! If you are looking for music lessons for your child, we would suggest adaptive private music lessons.
