Production Class
(Age 6-18)

Join us for our Spring Production - Little Mermaid Jr!  Are you ready to go Under the Sea?
​​​No experience necessary - all are welcome!

This production will have 2 ensemble groups:
Group 1:  Casting for male & female roles for 9-18 yrs  &  Group 2:  Male & female roles for 6-8 yrs

GROUP 1:  Ages 9-18 yrs

​FREE INFORMATIONAL MEETING & THEATRE WORKSHOP:

• 1/10 (Friday) from 7:00-8:30pm
• During this time students will have a chance to meet other actors, ask questions, and get a jump start learning one of our musical numbers for the show.  All are welcome to attend - bring a friend!

AUDITION DATE:

• 1/12 (Sunday) from 2-5pm
• Audition monologues and music will be emailed on 1/8 to all registered students.
• If you are already registered, we'll see you on 1/12.  If you are doing an open audition (which means trying out the class before enrolling in the production) there is a $15 audition fee (payable by check or cash). If you decide to participate in the production, the $15 fee is applied to your tuition.  Casting begins at 6:00pm on 1/12 and all enrollments must be submitted by that time. 
• What to Bring to Auditions:  Water, Healthy Snack (no candy, peanut free), Jazz shoes (if you have them), Comfortable clothing

 
REHEARSAL DATES:  

• 1/13-3/14 |  MONDAY’S @ 6-8:15pm (additional rehearsals below)

 
MANDATORY REHEARSAL DATES: 

• *2/23 (2-8pm) - Snow-Day Makeup/Extra Rehearsal-If needed-TBD
• 3/01 (2-8pm) - Sunday
• 3/02  (5-8:15pm) - Monday (early rehearsal start time)
• 3/08 (2-8pm) - Sunday
• 3/09-3/13 (5-8:30pm) - Tech Week (Monday-Friday - mandatory rehearsals)

 
PERFORMANCE DATES - Performance Location TBA

• 3/14 @ 3pm & 7pm

CAST PARTY - Studio Location

• 3/16 @ 6-7:30pm: Cast Party 

TUITION:  $300.00 (Upon submitting your enrollment, the tuition will be processed in full between 1-2 business days. Payment options are available - call the studio for more info).

• Rehearsals & Performances
• Individual Script
• Rehearsal Music

• Costume(s) - Basic undergarments must be provided by student (i.e leotard, leggings, tank top)
• Props
• Stage Make-Up
• Vocal & Acting Coaching

PLEASE NOTE: 
Singing is NOT a requirement. Participants will be cast according to ability, desire, and experience. While not everyone can have a lead role or speaking part, everyone will be included in the production through musical numbers and/or ensemble work. It’s important to remember that each and every cast member plays a significant part in developing and telling the story on stage. Each role will also provide vital experience for your child’s future artistic endeavors!

All participants are required to have jazz shoes. All tickets are sold separately for the performance. ​More details will be distributed upon enrollment.

GROUP 2:  Ages 6-8 yrs

Your child will have an opportunity to participate in the Little Mermaid production by performing in our pre-show,  1 musical number and the finale. This is a great introductory to musical theatre and experiencing the stage.

Your child's first class will be 1/13. You do not need to attend the informational meeting or cast audition.

• 1/13-3/14 |  MONDAY’S @ 5-6pm (additional rehearsals below)

 
ADDITIONAL MANDATORY REHEARSAL DATES:​

• 3/08 (2-3:30pm)
• 3/12 (5-7pm) - Tech Week
