Academic Year
Policies & Procedures

GETTING STARTED: All classes are scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Lesson times cannot be reserved and students will not be able to begin class until Lanti Performing Arts receives the registration form, non-refundable enrollment fee, non-refundable activities/performance fee, and 1st month's tuition. Lanti Performing Arts has open registration and will be happy to begin lessons mid-semester (pending schedule availability). If you begin mid-year, your tuition will be pro-rated and then your monthly tuition will start on the 15th of the month. Note: some group classes may not be available to begin mid-session and other classes may have additional requirements prior to joining the class.

TUITION EXPLANATION & OPTIONS: All monthly tuition payments will be processed automatically on the 15th of each month through an auto bank draft or credit card transaction (3% convenience fee applied) within 5 business days of your enrollment to April 15th (9-month programs) and May 15th (10-month programs). Tuition amounts are based on the number of classes in the school year not the number of classes in the month. Tuition has already been prorated to include holidays so your tuition is the same regardless of the number of classes in any given month. Tuition is not prorated for classes missed. Summer programs will be invoiced separately.

ANNUAL ENROLLMENT FEE: An enrollment fee of $65.00 per student is non-refundable and due at the time of registration. This fee is paid annually per academic year. This will allow students to participate in recitals and performances throughout the academic year and summer.

NON-SUFFICIENT FUNDS (NSF) FEE: In the case of an ACH Transaction or check being rejected for Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) I understand that Lanti Performing Arts may, at its discretion, attempt to process the charge again within 5 days, and agree to an additional $25 charge for each attempt returned NSF which will be initiated as a separate transaction from the authorized recurring payment.

DISCOUNTS: A family discount of 10% is applied to additional family members’ tuition for those involved in private lessons. Discount is applied to the lowest-rated tuition. There are no family discounts for production classes, group classes, or session/seasonal programs.

REFUNDS: There are no refunds for missed lessons. If you opted to pay for the full year and withdraw early, you may request studio credit for another program. Credits are not transferable to other family members.

ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE: Students are to arrive on time so that lessons may begin as scheduled. Arriving late will shorten the lesson accordingly due to other bookings. Your teacher will meet you in the lobby or at the classroom door for groups (or designated place at off-site locations) at your scheduled lesson time. Teachers do not supervise students before and/or after their assigned lesson time.

SCHEDULE CHANGES: A student is allowed 1 permanent schedule alteration per studio year. Additional change requests will result in a $15 administrative fee. Any schedule changes will only be made when the Make A Change e-form is completed.

STUDENT ABSENCE: No refunds are given for missed lessons. Tuition reserves a student’s lesson time each week. Students are entitled to TWO (2) MAKE-UP lessons per academic year. In order to be eligible for a make-up lesson, lessons must be canceled by providing 24 hours notice to Lanti Performing Arts. Notification can be sent via email or phone (call/text). PLEASE NOTE: Last-minute cancellations and no-shows will necessitate charging the full lesson fee and are NOT eligible for make-ups. We cannot make exceptions to this policy.

MAKE-UP LESSONS: Make-up days are included at the end of the academic year and are given in a group format. Specific procedural information will be distributed in April. Student cancellation of a make-up lesson forfeits the lesson. In the event of a teacher's absence, a make-up lesson will be scheduled as soon as possible.

EARLY WITHDRAWAL: Once enrolled, the expectation is that you will be in lessons for the entire academic year (studio: September-June; off-site: as per school calendar). If your child must withdraw from any class a 30-day notice from the 15th of the month is required. Payments will stop processing after 30 days. All withdrawals need to be done on the Make A Change Form. After we receive the completed e-form your account will be charged for any outstanding balances including your final month, after which payments will stop processing.

TEACHER SUBSTITUTIONS: Lanti Performing Arts reserves the right to provide another qualified teacher if the regularly scheduled teacher is ill or otherwise unable to teach classes. If a teacher is out and the studio cannot arrange a substitute any missed classes will be made up.
