Frequently Asked Questions

COVID-19 FAQ'S
During these unprecedented times, we want you to know that we are committed to taking extra precautions for the health and safety of our Lanti families and our Lanti team. We will continue to assess the situation as new information becomes available.
WILL YOU BE HAVING PRIVATE LESSONS AND CLASSES?
Yes, we are currently moving forward with our Music & Theatre Programs for 2020-2021. Private lessons and classes will be offered both in-person at our studio location as well as online via Zoom.
WHAT PRECAUTIONS WILL YOU BE TAKING IN THE STUDIO?
We are following the CDC guidelines to help provide the safest environment possible for our students and staff. As we continue to monitor and assess the situation, we will make sure to stay up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. This includes: masks/face shields, temperature checks as appropriate, social distancing markers, limited teachers and students in the building at one time, sanitization stations, sanitizing frequently touched items on the hour and between every lesson. For more specific details, click HERE.
CAN I GET A REFUND IF MY CLASS IS CANCELLED?
Yes, 100% of your money will be refunded if LPA needs to cancel a program(s).
WHAT IF THE STATE RETURNS TO PHASE 1?
Safety for our staff and students will remain our number one priority. If North Carolina returns to Phase 1, we are confident in our ability to move smoothly to virtual lessons and classes via Zoom. We are so grateful that during these times, we are able to provide a much needed outlet for our students. Should the studio need to go virtual for any reason, tuition will continue and there are no refunds or credits.
I'M NOT SURE MY CHILD WILL BE OKAY WITH VIRTUAL CLASSES. WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL?
Of course, we hope you will continue your music/theatre classes as research shows the tremendous emotional and mental health benefits it provides. That being said, if you choose to discontinue classes and release your spot, our regular 30-day cancellation notice remains in effect, after which your tuitions payments will end.

WHEN DOES ENROLLMENT OPEN?
We are open year-round and you are free to enroll anytime during the year. Our Academic Year runs from September thru mid-June and the Summer Session runs from mid-June to mid-August. If you begin classes mid-month your tuition will be pro-rated at the time of registration and your monthly tuition will start on the 15th.
HOW ARE PRIVATE LESSONS SCHEDULED?
Generally, students meet 1x per week and stay for a 30, 45 or 60-minute session or class. Upon enrolling, we'll work with you to set-up a time and day for private lessons that works for your family.
WHAT IF MY SCHEDULE CHANGES?
Not a problem! For group classes, you are welcome to days/times to another available option. For private lessons, depending on your teacher’s availability we’re happy to change your lesson time to another permanent time if needed. A student is allowed 1 schedule change per studio year. Additional change requests will result in a $15 administrative fee. All changes can be done using our Make A Change Form.
IS THERE A CONTRACT?
No, we do not have a contract. However, we ask that you provide a 30-day notice from the 15th of the month in order to update your account and provide your teacher with the proper notice. All withdrawals need to be done on the Make A Change Form. After we receive the completed e-form your account will be charged for any outstanding balances including your final month, after which payments will stop processing.
CAN I OBSERVE MY CHILD'S LESSON?
Absolutely! There's a window located in each room so you can peek in and see how things are going. Some parents will pop-in during the last few minutes of a lesson to either listen or speak with the teacher. *Due to COVID-19, we request that parents limit their time inside the studio and enter only when necessary.
WHAT MATERIALS DO I NEED FOR CLASS?
To begin, you will need an instrument in good-working condition. After your first class, your teacher will give you a notebook and list of books that will need to be purchased before your next lesson. Please bring your lesson books, materials, and instrument (except for drums or pianos) to class each week. Take a look at our Supply Lists and read more about what materials are needed to get you off to a great start!
